ARRIVAL: Arrival in Arusha – Welcome to Tanzania!

Airports: Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK)

Upon arrival, you’ll be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide and transferred in a private vehicle to your hotel in Arusha — the gateway to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit.

Tarangire National Park – Home of the Giants

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park (approx. 2 hours). Known for its towering baobab trees and massive elephant herds, Tarangire offers a classic safari experience with rich biodiversity.

Safari Highlights:

Game drive along the Tarangire River

Wildlife sightings: elephants, lions, leopards, zebras, wildebeests, giraffes

Over 500 bird species, including lovebirds and hornbills

Seasonal elephant behavior: digging riverbeds for water during the dry season

Evening:

Drive to your lodge near the park or in Karatu, a charming town nestled between Tarangire and Ngorongoro.

Ngorongoro Crater – The Natural Wonder

After an early breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area (approx. 1 hour). Descend 600 meters into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife destinations.

Crater Highlights:

Half-day game drive on the crater floor

Wildlife: black rhinos, lions, buffaloes, zebras, hippos, hyenas, and more

Birdlife: flamingos, storks, and raptors

Picnic lunch at the scenic hippo pool

Afternoon: Ascend the crater wall and continue your journey to Serengeti National Park (3–4 hours), arriving by sunset.

Spend the day exploring the legendary Serengeti, home to the Great Migration and an extraordinary concentration of wildlife.

Seronera Valley: year-round water sources attract abundant wildlife

Evening:
